Adherence
The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that 50 percent of patients with chronic illnesses do not take their medications as prescribed. This can include not taking them on time, at the proper doses or not taking the medications at all. This leads to poorer health, more frequent hospitalizations, a higher risk of death and on a national level, as much as $290 billion annually in increased medical costs.
We know that working numerous medication regimens into a busy schedule can be challenging. At Kerr Health, our individualized approach includes customizable care plans, flexible delivery options and prescription synchronization aimed at helping patients take their medications appropriately while maintaining an active lifestyle. A Kerr Health patient care advocate (PCA) works with each patient to insure that any questions or uncertainties are addressed.
Patients also have “24/7” access to pharmacists should questions arise after hours.
